Communications Design Intern
Spearheaded the rebranding of the 2016 bi-annual Artist Retreat by successfully using Communication Design strategies, user research, and trend forecasting methods to create a holistic, 360° experience for 300+ art professionals including curators, writers, producers, filmmakers, and visual artists .
DEVELOPMENT PROCESS //
The branding process took place in the midst of organizational change. Due to this, there was a strong focus put on cross-functional collaboration within the organization to optimize processes and ensure the success of the conference. Using geometric figures and complementary colors from previous brand guidelines, I decided to base the new brand identity for the conference on the theme of “Networking” and “Networks”, to showcase the value of ‘togetherness’ within the organization. This idea became not only the theme for Art Direction but for the whole experience of the conference as we promoted the power of UNITY and COLLABORATION to foster innovative and brave ideas.
